My stats -
-I am 29 - California born/raised
-Recently moved to Chicago after living in San Francisco for 7 years
-I studied abroad in London & Thailand.
-Taught surfing and other sports at a YMCA summer camp for three consecutive years
-Lived in Lyon, France for 9 months
-Master's degree in Education
-Worked for Equality California fighting for gay rights (www.eqca.org) for four years. We are best known for leading the No on Prop 8 campaign
-Just took a photography & guitar course

PHILOSOPHY

I love to contemplate everything. I'll try anything if you tell me its part of the experience. I thrive off random moments. I am open minded, love unique thought, but have strong passionate opinions. I love to take risks. I pretend to know it all, and find comfort in knowing that there is infinite knowledge and limitless possibilities of reality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to host someone in Chicago before I start my travels on Jan 27th!

I hope to learn from CS members, hopefully surf with a few generous people and pay it forward as often as possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friends are currently using CouchSurfing in Europe & it ended up extending their stay by a few months.

Interests

Almost anything active, I love the water....sometimes I think I might have been a mermaid in a past life, traveling, HOT TUBS, unique coffee shops, breakfast, scooters, Ayn Rand, sushi, hot (bikram) yoga, rollerblading (hey its cool in Europe), capturing the moment, guilty pleasures, debating (with a glass of wine in hand), Sauce Brown (my dachshund), the economist, dancing, politics and (things in parentheses).

Movies
Chick flicks, documentaries and a good thriller/suspense film once in awhile.

Mellow acoustic music and upbeat stuff when you are in the mood to dance and sing along.

Historical fiction, books by Margaret Atwood & Ayn Rand novels are a few of my favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode in the back of a truck to Angkor Wat, Cambodia for 10 hours, got stuck in the mud and still managed to have an amazing time. It was by far the most breathtaking part of my travels to date.
