About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn, make people laugh, make friends, empower, create

ABOUT ME

Easily distracted but equally capable of singular focus, always smiling, singing, moving, and grooving

I am very friendly, outgoing, adorable, funny--I love to make people laugh. Upbeat, very positive, wonderful with people, especially kids. Some people would say this probably explains a good deal about my juvenility and attention span, but I say I would rather be good with kids than grow out of it. and those people are just jealous of our sweet tree fort.

I talk a little too fast, and probably too often, and sometimes too loud, about some really interesting stuff, and sure some not so interesting. I can get pretty animated, but never argumentative.

I have a welcoming nature and I am very open-minded, prefer disarming conflict to starting it, and can get along with everyone. However I am an outspoken, informed, socially conscious, pot smoking, free loving atheist... So there are some people who wouldn't want to get along with me. But it's not like I parade it around or anything. Oh wait.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to be patient, calm, and helpful in all things. As I grow and learn about the world, I'm becoming more vocal and active about challenging the blatant systemic inequality of our socioeconomic system.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to participate in CS by hosting and by being hosted! I want to meet people from all over the world, get a fresh perspective as often as possible. I like to help people in need, and who is in more need than travelers in a new city?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The last time I surfed abroad was a few years ago in London. Since then I've surfed here and there on the West coast of the US. I have met so many surfers, all interesting people, many beautiful couples. We can meet up for drinks if you're breezing through town, maybe you need a place to crash on a layover? Staying for a long weekend? I had one surfer come for a weekend--and stay over a month! I've had many surfers extend their stays.

Such an overwhelmingly positive experience and completely different every time, and practically free. What else can you say that about these days?

Things are settling down so I'm back after a lengthy hibernation period. I want to get back into this amazing community and hopefully plan a few trips this Summer!

Interests

I can be scatterbrained and flighty, prone to making sudden changes of attention. I'm partial however to motorcycles, beautiful people, music, and good stories. I love to read. Big on hard scifi, shocker I know.

I like talking about people becoming computers, and computers becoming people, listening to music, playing video games, awaiting the Singularity, and inciting revolution.
