About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To bring laughter to whoever I encounter by any MEANS NECESSARY. If I have to make balloon animals so be it don't tempt me.

ABOUT ME

I love music my favorite bands are Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, and Tool. I love film and good T.V. shows like "The Usual Suspects" or the American "Office." I am a Burner at heart and I have also been to multiple music festivals. I LOVE LIVE MUSIC it speaks to my soul. I like to read books. I like to stay in shape by going to the gym and riding my bike. I like the outdoors and nature. I signed up with the CS project because I am going to southern Europe for a month and a half. I kinda started late in the world travel category, but dedicated to catching up. I should have done this a while ago, but I only recently heard about this site.

PHILOSOPHY

Mallory is famously quoted as having replied to the question "Why do you want to climb Mount Everest?" with the retort "Because it's there" Stay open minded and try not to be to stubborn. Which I struggle with from time to time. Try to put yourself in other people's shoes. Try to not let things bother you that are not really important that resentment will eat you up.

Six right livelihood guidelines

Consume mindfully.
Eat with awareness and gratitude.Pause before buying and see if breathing is enough.Pay attention to the effects of media you consume.
Pause. Breathe. Listen.
When you feel compelled to speak in a meeting or conversation, pause.Breathe before entering your home, place of work, or school.Listen to the people you encounter. They are buddhas.
Practice gratitude.
Notice what you haveBe equally grateful for opportunities and challenges.Share joy, not negativity.
Cultivate compassion and loving kindness.
Notice where help is needed and be quick to helpConsider others' perspectives deeply.Work for peace at many levels.
Discover wisdom
Cultivate "don't know" mind (= curiosity).Find connections between Buddhist teachings and your life.Be open to what arises in every moment.
Accept constant change.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to say that all burners are welcome to stay at my house. As Reno is the last major city before Black Rock. And anybody else is welcome any of the other 11 months.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couched on my friend's couch when I was twenty because I didn't have a house. So I know a comfy couch when I see one. I let my friends crash on my couch after a night of partying as my house is close to downtown.

Interests

Music, books, sports, exercise, and movies. And most recently travel I hope I have a real positive experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I already listed some music and movies but I love a lot more than just those. I really like Stephen King novels and I want to get into the Game of thrones series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been to Burning Man seven years in a row.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to get better at my Spanish. I would just like to see how other cultures are. I am opened to learn anything.
