ABOUT ME

We are an couple on our two year long round world trip, and it has been the best thing we've ever done by far. Every penny and pound saved is for the travel fund. Back home he manages a bar in Melbourne with lots of nice cold beers, heaps of cool people and awesome food. She works as a radiation therapist working in Melbourne as well.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far we we just travelling round the globe, but once we settle back home we cant wait to open our couch to like minded travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No official CS experiences yet, but we met some great friends in Madrid and kept in contact and stayed with them in Vienna a few times and had an amazing time; I think thats why we decided to give CS a try.

Interests

Love foods from every culture and cuisine and beers even more. Every travel experience is always linked to a great meal or street snack in some way. Live music gigs where camping is in the equation, have met so many awesome/quirky people that way.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Anything with a superhero, Horror movies, Comedies, favourites include The Blues Brothers, Evil Dead, Batman, Sin City, Amelie, Its A Wonderful Life, Shaun of the Dead, Kick Arse, Almost Famous, In Bruge.

Music: especially of the live venue persuasion. Love going to a gig or festival, memorial ones have been Glastonbury 2010 , Sziget 2011, Falls Festival and Splendour in the Grass (Aussie Fests). Current rotation on the Ipod are The Smashing Pumpkins, Bright Eyes, Sigur Ros, The Beatles, The Hives, Gogol Bordello, Regina Specktor and Adele, Flogging Molly, and The Vaccines.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the northern lights in Norway whilst we were bogged in snow waiting for the tow truck driver to rescue us; eating perfect pesto,cheese and bread in Cinque Terra; jumping off an 11m waterfall in Mosta, Bosnia after having drunken a very generous glass of rajika.

Teach, Learn, Share

He can tell you all about Australian Rules football and even try to teach you how to kick. She can show you the way to cook the best Pavlova. Languages are not our biggest strength, with very basic German Italian that we managed to use to get around with, but can teach you the ways of Australian slang.
