Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was accepted to an amazing program that offers a free trip to Japan! However, the plane tickets I could find made me depart a day after the program ended, so I'd have to pay for my own hotel. Instead, I thought it would be a great opportunity to meet new people and possibly learn more Japanese!

素敵なプログラムに受かったので、無料で広島に行けます！でも、私の飛行機は7月18日に出発するから、17日の宿泊は無料じゃありません。Couchsurfingは無料だし、人が会えるし、日本語が勉強できるし、いいチャンスだと思います！

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 45 days expeditionary camping and kayaking in Alaska (that means not seeing civilization at all for 45 days), catching salmon with my bare hands and even seeing grizzly bears and humpback whales up close! It was the best experience of my life.

45日間、アラスカでキャンプしました。その間では、私のグループ以外、他の人が見えませんでした。手でサーモンをとったり、グリズリー熊をみたり、座頭鯨などを見ました。私の人生で一番経験でした。

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, camping skills, economics, some statistics, and some good Wisconsin recipes! Since I am from Wisconsin, I also know a lot about cheese and a bit about farming, especially since at home I own poultry!
