About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see and experience the world in person

ABOUT ME

I am curious, so I would like to travel and experience the world firsthand as much as I can.

PHILOSOPHY

"Before enlightenment, chop wood and carry water; after enlightenment, chop wood and carry water."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I look, smell, hear, touch and taste. I experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Russia and South Korea in June, 2013, staying with seven different hosts. The entire experience had just been wonderful. I couldn't have found nicer and more welcoming hosts.

Interests

I am mostly interested in just walking around the new city and maybe tasting food from the local street carts.

  • dancing
  • dining
  • exercise
  • walking
  • traveling

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open to all kind of musics. I don't watch movies often, but when I do, I tend to watch comedies, action films, or documentaries. I have less time to read books now, but I read a lot of newspaper articles on-line.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going back to medical school in my 30's was a challenge that I overcame. Having traveled to over half of all the Chinese provinces is something that I feel very good about.

Now, I can say that I have couchsurfed my way through South Korea and Russia! :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I was born in Beijing, China. I spent my teenage years in Iowa city, Iowa, USA. I went to college in Philadelphia and have lived here since. I love to travel. I have been to Europe, Africa and China. Work wise, I was a clinical medical research coordinator for seven years. Now, I am a 2nd year medical student. I speak Mandarin Chinese and English. In my free time, I like to follow current events so that I know what is happening in the world. I also exercise and take Latin dancing classes when I can.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, China, France, Italy, Mali, Netherlands, Russian Federation, South Korea, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
