Overview
About Me
Originally from the UK, currently living in NZ. Currently working in Auckland, but spent the first part of the year travelling around both islands by car, camping, surfing, hiking and kayaking, and have travelled with and met lots of amazing people on the way. I'm pretty easy going and very positive, and a quiet, tidy and respectful houseguest - I always clean up after myself. I'm also pretty creative - I write (stories, poems, articles and songs), and I used to be a chef, so love to cook.
I like creating things, solving problems, fixing things, getting my hands dirty and making a difference. I have a strong work ethic and believe if something is worth doing it is worth doing properly. Politically I lean more towards the liberal side of things, and while I'm not religious I would definitely count myself as spiritual and have a deep and long-running love affair with nature and the outdoors. Most of my time is spent camping, hiking, surfing, running, and I'm currently learning to kitesurf.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked the Entire Annapurna circuit in Nepal. The original, full length version too, not the usual modern way with all of the shortcuts and jeep rides. It took an entire month and was one of the most challenging things I've ever completed.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Design and DIY skills, great company, interesting stories and good conversation. I also used to be a chef and love to cook, so if I stay with you then dinner is usually on me at least once!
