Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couchsurfing, so I haven't really participated yet. Unfortunately this means I don't really have any references, but I hope that doesn't detract. I'm a nice person, really!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was introduced to couch-surfing through my friend, Leif, and I've met several of his couch-surfers.
When I moved to Leuven to do graduate studies, I couch-surfed when I first arrived and that was a positive experience.
Unfortunately I neglected my profile for a long time, due to various life circumstances which I won't go into here. Now I'm back and I'll try to keep up with it more diligently.

I like folk music a lot, to the point where it possibly annoys some of my friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

Basically, I know a bit about a whole lot of things. Don't know if I know enough to teach anyone, but I'm very good at tracking down more information about new ideas, so to speak. I know a bit about local history, and when I'm away I'm good at getting a feel for a new place. What I'd like to learn is more practical hands-on sort of things (for example, self-sufficient green retrofitting stuff), as I'm not all that good with tools.
