About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Eat, drink, and be merry.
ABOUT ME
Recent Nashville transplant. Wine, gardening, and cooking are my favorite. In my past life I was a 5th grade teacher in Gallup, NM, traveled through Asia and spent a year and a half as an ESL teacher in South Korea.
PHILOSOPHY
Travel as much as you can, it opens the most interesting doors.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was introduced to CS when my boyfriend traveled to India and stayed with a few hosts. I thought it was crazy until we moved to Gallup and started hosting. I love meeting new people, sharing stories, showing people around my town, and seeing the general good that exists in the world.
Interests
Kurt Vonnegut, Paris, acid-jazz, culinary endeavors, below the line movies, and traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Anything that makes me laugh. Alejandro Jodorovsky flicks that make your brain melt. Wes Anderson for obvious reasons.
Books: I love Vonnegut, Thompson, Bukowski, Nabokov, Cervantes, and of course Marquez.
Music: Acid jazz, freak folk, harmonica noises, organ, bluegrass, Thai pop. Really any music that makes you stop in your tracks and ask "what is happening?"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swam with Irawaddy river dolphins in Laos/Cambodia.
An old man once growled at me in Korea for smoking a cigarette.
