Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've loved it so far in the weeks that I've been surfing around Europe, it's been a great way to gain an understanding of the country from the day that you arrive.
Interests
Many things involving movement: biking, frisbee, scuba diving, any martial art (Capoeira, Tae Kwon Do, and Tai Chi have all been fun), wandering aimlessly, and more.
I enjoy cooking, and I fluctuate between vegetarianism, eating local food, and having whatever people cook themselves. It's a mix between environmentalism, health, and cultural interest, and I haven't quite figured it out myself.
I also will get caught up in a good book, good conversation, and relaxing every once in a while.

Music, Movies, and Books
"Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" (I'm just going to pretend it's really "Bike Maintenance"), Ender's Game, 1984, any and all Isaac Asimov, Guns Germs & Steel, and most other books that I pick up.
I don't watch movies too frequently now, but I love comedies of all sorts. Mel Brooks is up there.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking the Tongariro crossing in New Zealand was awesome, as was Scuba diving at Poor Knights Island (NZ), the Great Barrier Reef, and with turtles off of Hawaii.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Israel
Countries I’ve Lived In
New Zealand, United States
