About Me
When traveling, exploring local communities is one of my favorite things -- and one of the things that makes couchsurfing special. Whether it's new food, live music, or a unique experience, I love to explore new places, both in urban environments and in nature.
At home you usually can find me outside biking, climbing, skiing, or at a concert.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've had some of my favorite travel experience while couchsurfing and was active in the NYC CS community for years. After a hiatus from CS, I interested in reconnecting with the community. I'm unable to host at the moment, but am happy to connect with other travels to offer suggestions or show people around.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met great friends through CS and have met a number of wonderful people all around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my favorite travel memories occured on the island of Itaparica when I was living in Salvador, Brasil. My friend's boyfriend was from the island and he took us to a festival in a little village on the opposite side of the island. It was a poor place, no one had much money, but despite their lack of material possessions, they were some of the happiest people I ever saw.
Another was going to the Dead Sea. Ever since I was about 9 years old and saw a picture of a guy floating, reading a news paper in the Dead Sea, I have always wanted to go. It was as cool as I imagined.
Seeing the sun rise over Macchu Picchu and climbing up Waynu Picchu.
Diving at Julian Rocks in Byron Bay in Australia was one of the first dives I ever did, but it still is on the top of my list of being probably the coolest. Whales singing in the background, sharks, turtles, rays, and so much sea life!
Backpacking 50 miles (plus a side trip up Half Dome) in six days in Yosemite. We packed way too much food, our packs were way too heavy, but it was incredible to hike up from the Valley floor to Tuolumne Meadows and then loop back into the high meadows of the Sierras and follow the Merced River back to the Valley. It was a personal feat that was rewarded with some amazing views that not many people get to experience in Yosemite.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to cook. When I travel I enjoy learning about different cooking styles and eating all different types of foods. I'd be more than happy to cook for you and your flatmates :-)
