About Me
👋 Bonjour!
I’m a 45-year-old chef living in Paris — the city of food, culture, and endless surprises. Cooking is not just my profession, it’s the way I connect with people. I love creating simple meals with fresh ingredients, sharing a bottle of wine, and turning strangers into friends around the table.
I’ve lived in Paris for many years and I still discover something new every week — a hidden bistro, a quirky street market, or a jazz bar tucked away in a tiny alley. I enjoy hosting curious travellers who want to see the city through local eyes.
I consider myself open-minded, easygoing, and respectful. I enjoy deep conversations, humour, and people who are genuine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I believe hospitality is a beautiful human value.
I like meeting people from different backgrounds, exchanging stories, and making visitors feel at home. Hosting travellers gives me inspiration and keeps my world wide and colourful.
Couchsurfing is not a free hotel — it’s connection, exchange, and good memories.
If that’s what you’re looking for, welcome 🙌

Music, Movies, and Books
🎶 Music:
My playlist is as eclectic as the people I meet. I enjoy smooth jazz in the kitchen, deep house or techno when I need energy, and sometimes French classics like Aznavour or Gainsbourg when I’m in a nostalgic mood. Anything with emotion or rhythm speaks to me.
🎬 Movies:
I love films that make you think or feel — The Intouchables, Chef, Into the Wild, and old classics like Cinema Paradiso. I also enjoy documentaries about culture, food, and human stories.
📚 Books:
Cookbooks are my passion — not just recipes, but storytelling through flavors (Anthony Bourdain is a favourite). I also like biographies and novels that explore human journeys. Paulo Coelho, Haruki Murakami, and travel storytelling always interest me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A few years ago, I cooked a dinner for strangers who didn’t even speak the same language — a small table in Paris, six travellers from six countries, all tired, shy, and far from home. The food was simple: fresh bread, roasted vegetables, a bottle of wine, and laughter.
By dessert, they were no longer strangers.
They were talking, smiling, hugging, exchanging contacts, and planning to travel together.
That night, I realised something beautiful —
sometimes the most amazing thing we do isn’t climbing mountains or crossing oceans,
but creating moments where people feel seen, welcomed, and connected.
I didn’t save the world —
I just set a table, lit a candle, and watched people become friends.
And to me, that was amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
🧑🍳 Teach:
I can teach you how to make simple ingredients taste extraordinary — a perfect omelette, a Parisian-style dinner, or how to read flavours like poetry. I can also share local tips about hidden cafés, food markets, and how Paris breathes beyond the tourist maps.
📚 Learn:
I love learning anything that opens the mind — your language, your favourite recipe from home, your music, your philosophy, or simply how you see the world. Everyone carries a story, and I’m always curious to hear yours.
✨ Share:
I share my kitchen, my table, and my time when possible. We can exchange life stories over wine, cook together, explore the city, or simply enjoy calm companionship. I believe the most beautiful exchanges happen when two people are present — not trying to impress, but to connect.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to share the simple things that make life feel richer.
If we connect well and time allows, I can cook for you or with you — not a restaurant dish, but something honest, warm, and made with attention. I can show you local markets where Parisians actually shop, or the small wine shops where the owners still greet you by name.
I’m happy to share conversation, laughter, recommendations, and the quiet comfort of companionship. If you’re curious, I can teach you a few kitchen tricks or guide you through a flavour you’ve never experienced before.
Mostly, I share space without judgement — a place where you can feel welcome, eat well, and leave with a memory, not just a bed.
