ABOUT ME
Undergraduate degree in Japanese language and culture from the University of Kansas. Spent a year in Japan as an undergrad going to Obirin University in Machida, Japan.
After graduating from Kansas U, I applied for the Monbukagakusho scholarship and went to Kyoto University where I studied the education history of Japan. I recently got married.
I'm currently looking for work as a translator / interpreter.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: largely piano. I studied piano performance while attending Kansas University. Favorite composers are: Bach, Chopin, Debussy, Ravel, Scriabin.
Books: Concentrating on reading books in Japanese to improve my reading fluency. Some are non-fiction books on contemporary society and Japanese history, in addition to novels by popular authors such as Murakami Haruki.
Movies: The most recent film I really enjoyed was JCVD. I enjoy lots of films of different genres, but not a big fan of most Hollywood movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done some traveling in southeast Asia, although I'm not much of a storyteller.
I'm recently married, and my life now is to create an environment for my wife and future kids.
