Join Couchsurfing to see Leigh’s full profile. It’s free!
Flights are booked, and now sorting out the rest of our trip to the beautiful islands of Honduras in Jan2017!
My name is Leigh, and I'm in my mid-20's. I live in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada with my boyfriend, Mackenzie (he's on Couch Surfing as well), and room-mate, Montanna. I grew up in a small town called Caledon in Ontario, Canada (about 1.5 hours North of Toronto), but moved to the Yukon once I finished my Bachelor of Commerce (2012). I'm pretty relaxed and easy to get along with (I'm a bit of a neat freak though), and enjoy just hanging out- nothing crazy :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couch surfing to meet awesome new people from around the globe. I think it's incredibly interesting to compare the similarities and differences we share from thousands of miles away.
I can't personally say I've traveled far from home (well.. outside of Canada), but I'd love to hear all about your travels and adventures.
I enjoy spending my Yukon summers playing co-ed softball, drinking beer, and soaking in the hot "midnight sun".
In the winter I like to attend some of the festivals (Rendezvous is one of the best times to come up in the Winter, check out yukonrendezvous.com), play indoor sports, and drink rum and whiskey to warm my insides :)
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Rock, Country, Top40, .. really just about everything.
Movies: You know.. When I was in college I worked for Blockbuster (a year or two before they closed in Canada), and people were always asking me what they should watch. But unfortunately, I'm not a big movie buff.. and I'm quite behind on 'movies you need to watch' (needless to say, I was terrible at recommending anything other than Mean Girls: "it's like I have ESPN or something!").
Books: Recent reads include "Decisions by Jim Treliving" and "The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg"
