Language-lover, wanderer, storyteller, and just your average 40-year-old single lady living alone with my two cats. I've traveled a bit, studied a bit, done a bit of art, now I live in my hometown and devote most of my time and energy to being the world's best qunty (that's a queer aunty, of course). I'm fluent in Spanish and work as a freelance interpreter-translator, so I have a flexible schedule and I'm up for some language exchange. I'm interested in hosting couchsurfers who WANT to visit my city, not those who are just passing through on their way to somewhere else. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed in Europe (Spain, France, Finland, the UK, and Ireland), the United States (Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, and El Paso), and Mexico (Oaxaca, Guadalajara, Yucatán and CDMX). I used to host often and would like to start hosting again, although my apartment is very small. I've gotten to know the local CS community in Querétaro (MX) and Albuquerque and have met up with surfers all over the world. I also co-coordinated the 2014 Albuquerque Couch Crash. Every experience I have had has been incredible! I love meeting new people, seeing the world through locals' eyes when I'm traveling, and sharing my city with other travelers.

Every experience I've had with Couchsurfing has been fantastic. My first time surfing in Spain was amazing and fully radicalized me into the Couchsurfing way of life ☺️ Everyone I met showed me such hospitality and made my experience unique and unforgettable. Now I love to "pay it forward" and make other surfers' trips equally unforgettable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done in my life was travel to Spain for a month, couchsurfing the entire way. I met so many incredible people and saw so many wonderful things. If I can help a traveler have even a fraction of the experience I had on their journey, my time on Couchsurfing will be worthwhile.

La cosa más maravillosa que he hecho en mi vida fue viajar a España por un mes, usando Couchsurfing todo el tiempo. Conocí a tanta gente increíble y vi tantas cosas maravillosas.
