to make every one of my daydreams a reality
***** I AM TRAVELING IN ASIA FOR THE NEXT 2 YEARS AND CANNOT MEET UP IN SAN DIEGO NOR DO I HAVE A COUCH AVAILABLE *****
I love having spontaneous adventures; whether this is through meeting new people and having great conversation or getting to see the unexpected side of things.
I'm a pretty athletic person and love anything outdoors. I have a rather dry sense of humor. I like weird, off beat stuff that makes you think something new. I don't like having things too planned out, I'm all about options. I have zero tolerance for intentional rudeness. I think that every interaction with a person offers an opportunity to learn something and evolve from it. Basically, I'm just a friendly, open minded person who likes to go off the beaten path and have adventures. Did I mention I'm adventurous?
Make someone happy and you'll be happy too
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to cook for people so it doesn't matter if I'm surfing or hosting, you're getting fed at least once.
I attended the 2012 CS Vienna Calling (which was lots of fun) and surfed in Mumbai & Singapore. Everyone I've met thru CS has left a positive impression on me.
My main passions are running, yoga, traveling (obviously), reading anything/everything, discovering new music, drawing/painting, adventure.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Bill Bryson, James Herriot, Cormac McCarthy, Malcolm Gladwell, James Clavell, anything and everything.
Music: I'll listen to anything at least once. My main fav's are indy folk, rock, blues, edm. Pretty much anything besides modern country and death metal.
I love finding/sharing new music with people so show me what your favorites are pretty please. Seriously, I love books & music like a fat kid loves cake & ice cream.
Movies: Drop Dead Gorgegous, Wall-E, The Cooler, Le Parfum, Labyrinth, Anchorman, In Bruges, Pan's Labryinth
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After 4days of torrential rain in Siberut, Indonesia (the longhouse on stilts/tribal cabin I was staying in had 4ft of water under it!) I got a little stir crazy and 'borrowed' a 10ft dugout canoe, I was driving/paddling and my boyfriend was passenger. We picked up an ancient, tattooed medicine man who needed a lift and started steering my way downstream, with the shaman clearing jungle vines and branches with his machete.
That moment, with the light in the trees and the birds everywhere, that is what I live for.
Teach, Learn, Share
Any knowledge I have is yours for the asking, I love sharing things I'm passionate about; music, books, food, ideas, whatever.
