Overview
About Me
My name is Leila and I’ve been living in Brussels, Belgium for my whole life. I went to an art secondary school where I was in the theatre section. I love to laugh, but I also really appreciate deep, serious conversations. I like to read, listen to music, I'm interested in films, specifically films from other periods in history.
As I finished in June '19 my Secondary school, I decided to take a year off. I really want to learn English in a proper way and into real life. I want to discover other places and ways of living, out of my comfort zone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and learn about different cultures. I am currently traveling around the U.K. and couchsurfing seems a perfect opportunity to connect with people.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to David Bowie, Kate Tempest, Patti Smith, KOKOROKO, French music and Jazz.
I adore David Lynch's work, Jean-Luc Godard, Tarkovsky, Wes Anderson and Charlie Chaplin.
I really like reading books, since my travels I've been more interested in English authors like George Orwell, Oscar Wilde, Virginia Woolf and Roal Dahl.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I stayed at an eco farm for two months in Southern England, where I learnt about gardening and cultivating all kind of plants and vegetables and taking care of animals. I met people from over the whole world; United States, Spain, Italy, Malta, Germany and England. This was an amazing experience that I'll never forget!
