Yet, my most cherished activities involve going beyond thought: in dance and movement, singing, meditation, or any creative act wherein I can be a channel for inspiration and beauty. I am both outgoing and shy. I love laughing and being playful and light-hearted.

I am interested in anything presented to me in an interesting or passionate way. As for particulars...I love creative expression whether performance poetry, theatre, dance, music. I'm am interested in spiritual philosophy, existentialism, curiosity for its own sake. I like to explore all of the ways in/through which we see and know the world, and ourselves.

books: Tom Robbins' Jitterbug Perfume and Still Life with Woodpecker; Virginia Woolf's Orlando, Lois Lowry's The Giver; Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five; Astrid Lindgren's Ronia the Robber's Daughter. movies: The Fountain, The Alien saga (very nostalgic for me); I Heart Huckabees; music: anything afrobeat, samba, drumming of all kinds, traditional folk music, fusion, deep and funky house, ambient electro, old school jazz, the blues, urban soul/jazz vocalists. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently, taking cold water dips in the Atlantic ocean near Halifax. The sea is harshly beautiful, and invigorating. Salty winds and changeable skies. Luscious and gritty land. Rain and rain and rain.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have studied quite a lot of philosophy, from esoteric vedic, taoist, buddhist to the seminal voices of western thought and religion. I am good with words, and with listening and helping others find their voice, and deepen their self understanding through reflection. I have studied and teach yoga and performed traditional west african dance. I can make felt, and blow spit bubbles!
