Overview
About Me
Growing up with a father in the military, my family traveled the USA throughout my youth. From Hawaii to Michigan to California and back, the travel bug was planted early on.
When first attending university, I studied Graphic Design to embrace my inner artist. After quickly finding instruction often kills creativity, I took time off to visit a bit of Europe, Northern America, Central America, and New Zealand, finding happiness in every place. I've since earned my MBA, with a goal of balancing work and life by integrating the two.
Some have described me as loyal, outgoing, engaging, and adventurous. My favorite things in life are sharing laughter with others, spending time with my close family and friends (who are family too), and learning.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After speaking with a friend about her wonderful experience, my account was open by the time the conversation was partway through. Being able to connect with locals, with a strong possibility to build a friendship sounds like the best way to experience new places. Investing in people and engaging in conversations to learn new perspectives is something I'm always up for!
Interests
Aside from the obvious --traveling-- music is my greatest passion; a common ground almost everyone can find. One of my favorite aspects of learning new people is understanding their music tastes, hopefully sharing something new or finding a common thread.
I love to draw, sketch, and paint for fun; leaving my wall decor to works collected from artist along the way. One of my favorites is a mixed media of the New Zealand seascape painted by a vineyard resident in Marlborough.
Aside, you'll always find a book in my satchel.
