ABOUT ME

I always find it a little difficult to describe myself. :-) I like to think I'm friendly, easy-going, easy to get along with ... open-minded, mostly. Relatively articulate and well informed. Curious about a lot of things. I love to talk - I talk a lot :-) - and usually have something to say on most subjects. ;-) I'm not a party girl, at all - I never go clubbing, I don't dance, I hardly drink alcohol. I overwhelmingly prefer to be in places where you can hear what people are saying. I don't mind being around people who drink, as long as they don't get seriously drunk, but I drink very little myself and can't tell you what bars or pubs are worth visiting in Oslo. I do enjoy going out to eat though, and I also enjoy staying home to cook and eat (not to say that I'm necessarily much of a cook). I love going to the movies, the theater, being out in nature, hanging around with friends. I am an atheist and a skeptic. I am one of the regular panel members on the podcast Saltklypa - the only Norwegian podcast about critical thinking, science and pseudoscience. Check us out on saltklypa.no or iTunes. :-)

Not sure about this yet, just starting out. Hoping to host some friendly people here in Oslo, and eventually to meet some more friendly people abroad as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far. :-) At least nothing official - I've hosted friends of friends as a favor a few times, have had fun doing that.

I can teach you about the habits of freshwater turtles, and how to play a bunch of v. cool board and card games. If you're interested in Norwegian history, I know quite a bit about that, especially the high medieval period.
