Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I want to do some more solo travelling, but I also love meeting new people. Couchsurfing is a great way to combine those two things!

Interesses

Ever since visiting Cuba, I wanted to learn to dance salsa. I have been taking classes for a couple of years now, and absolutely love it. I dance rueda de casino, cuban salsa and some bachata, but would love to improve on more traditional styles like rumba, guaguanco, son and dominican bachata. There is still a lot to learn :)

Besides dancing I love reading and going to the movies. I think it is also a great way to get to know different cultures, even when you're not travelling...

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

I love books, and because of my job as a bookseller, my reading list is neverending. I love 'On the Road' by Kerouac, since it captures the travelling mind so well. The Beat Poets in general gave me the travel bug. They embody the 'free spirit' idea, with all its ups ànd downs. But I try to read many genres and authors. I also loved Murakami's "South of the border", with all its jazz references. I am always up for a chat on books, so don't hesitate to ask me about it!

I like a lot of music, but if your read about my interest, you'll know that my preference goes out to latin music. I love (cuban) salsa, timba, bachata, reggaeton, merengue, ...
