Probably out of the same reason like most of us.
I prefer to get to know a place though a local perspective, get to know locals and their livestyle, meet new people and exchange expierences and perspectives with others.

Books and movies mostly with a deeper meaning or something warm and nice for the soul and the heart to recharge my battery after a stressful day. I don't like movies or books focused on brutality or violence.
