Overview
About Me
I'm spending one year in Istanbul for now, breaking out of the routine a bit of my life in Germany. Where i would be living in Dresden where i study architecture. I grew up in Berlin, already having some interesting people around me, having families with foreign origin. Especially turkish, which was i think also a reason for me to come to Istanbul, besides the obvious.
I'd say I'm open minded and easygoing, i love to listen to peoples stories, and a curious character. And i hope to meet some people having the same mindset.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting new people while staying with their town and their environment is the best way to get to know a city, country and culture. I made some good experiences over CS for that so far, and i would like to keep ot that way.
I like the idea of hospitality by sharing and positive thinking. As I'm at the moment abroad myself I unfortunately cant host someone here.
Couchsurfing is not another hostle-like option for me, so i will only search the contact for a stay if i really have the time to spend with the host. The other way around it works the same for me if i am the host.
Of course i dont expect a 24/7 attention and i am quite independent in planning my travel or have my own shedule the week, but some shared time would be what i am looking for here. To exchange some experiences and having Some good days.
I like travelling a lot, not hard to guess as being on this platform, and i like original idea of CS, travelling with small budget but getting the fullest experience. Also i want to have my travel even more for the trip itself, means on the road then hopping from one city to another. As there are a lot ofwell experienced people here I'm curious to meet those of you for sure.
Interests
my studies occupy me in some sense so i am defiantly interested in architecture or the built environment, what for me also involves street culture, arts, music and politics. Related to that i like photography, so if i just start to walk the streets with my camera there is no way back lets say. I can take quite a lot time to spend looking around.
I then also read, listen to music, and as my taste is widespread over genres i go to concerts and festivals a lot, patying with good tunes for sure!
I played a bit of ultimate frisbee and am always happy to find someone to throw some in the park. Outdoors is generally super, i am starting on climbing a bit as well.
I like the thinking of reducing to the basics, not consuming to much of everything and so on. Trying out on the way how to live, not in a manic kind, but just to experience something new and gaining some knowledge by just doing is a good and fun thing i guess. So i also do some DIY when there is the time. On my bike or my furniture. just going to flew markets and get some stuff to work on by hand.
What you for sure can not talk about with me is some series you recently watched, i dont no nothing about any of them, for sure. ;)
