Hello there!

We are two girls from Vienna, Austria and gonna start off by telling you a little bit about ourselfs.

Lisa finished tourism school in 2014 and as she was doing an internship abroad in Greece, which she really enjoyed, she decided to move there for 6 months after school. After that she kept exploring Austria by doing summer jobs and seasonal work. Currently she is a waitress in a well known restaurant in Downtown Vienna.

Lena became a kindergarten teacher in 2014 and worked as an Au Pair in Arlington, Virginia for a year afterwards. She moved back to Austria in September 2015 and worked in a kindergarten since then.

Apart from our education and jobs we have a great variety of interests and hobbies. A great passion of ours is music, we enjoy going to concerts and festivals, Lena also plays a couple of instruments.
Some of the things we like doing together are going to the movies, chatting on a long evening walk or dancing the night away.
We prefer reading books rather than watching TV, eating healthy and local instead of fast food, and it’s more likely to find us outdoors than hanging around on the couch all day.

We thought a lot about how we want to explore new places and came to the conclusion that sightseeing is not our focus and we are sick of the classic „touristy“ way of travelling where everything is just about spending money and getting loads of souvenirs instead of getting to know people and their cultures as well as their lifestyles.

Even though the two of us are different in many ways there are even more things that connect us since we’ve been best friends for over 15 years.
One of our biggest passions is travelling, so we decided to explore different cultures and new coutries together, starting in New Zealand.

My friend Lisa and I am currently travelling through New Zealand. We are travelling with backpacks and are always looking for free camgrounds or low budged options to spend our nights. We are especially interested in getting to know new people and locals.
