Hello, nice to meet you!

My name is Lena. I'm really curious about life and people, fascinated by language(s), culture and nature, amazed by the beauty of this world and always trying to discover some more of it. That's why i love to learn and to travel.

Nowadays I'm studying german and spanish to become a teacher, to share my love to languages and learning. My chosen lenguages reflect my life quite good: I lived half a year in Argentina and one year in Colombia which left its sign. My music preferences are highly inspired by these times and I miss dancing in a latinamerican club!
Living in different countries made my quite an open and comunicative person and I still love to get to know other people, others views of life, others ways of life. That's why I also enjoy arts and theater: to see the world in a different way. I do theater workshops myself which is a lot of fun.

I consider myself as a guest in this world so I try not to destroy it. So sustainibility is quite a big deal for me. I enjoy being outside, hiking, camping, swiming in a lake or in the sea.
I try to be aware for my surrounding, nature as well as people, and for myself. This includes not tolerating sexism, racism, homophobia or any other disgrading people-ism. It also means to care for one another, listen to each other and sharing - solidarity instead of competition!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I like to travel and I like to get to know places by its people (because I think, that's the most important think about every place you can go) - so I'm looking for people, who might like to share some time with me and give me an impression of the place they live in and how they live.
I would also like to get to know other travellers, listen to their experiences on the way and share some activites like hiking, dancing, going to museums or just get lost in the city to discover unknown places. If you're a local and like some of these activities I'd love to join you as well, of corse!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I passed one week in a boat on the Amazonas - I just watched the water and the green shore passing by and I felt very small and not important at all. These days left a big impression and a deep calm in me and it showed me the importance of environmental protection - the jungle is bigger then us, who are we to destroy it?

I will be a language teacher, so that's what I am good at. I can teach especially german and spanish and I'm always looking out to learn more languages.
I can teach you some theater exercises, if you're into it.
I can cook vegetarian or vegan stuff and show you how to prepare some easy spreads - and I make a very delicious humus!
I'm used to cut my friends hair, so I can offer you a hair cut as well.
