I'm very interested in language and try to understand how human beings can master language acquisition, and even more learn several languages. I like to discuss how language shapes our perception but also how our perception influences our language. I enjoy the communication of people who don't share a language and I enjoy learning languages.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started off by going to couchsurfing meetings and eventually contacted hosts to show me around when visiting a city. I value meeting new people, learn from them, teach about my experiences and discover a city from a local perspective.
After one of these days, which I spend with a wonderful couchsurfer in Finland, we talked about why I never actually couchsurfed. Her arguments convinced me and I promised to try. I ended up not only couchsurfing once, but throughout my entire trip in Finland. I don't regret it and I am very happy that she insisted on convincing me this day!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I went to Bugøynes in the north of Norway. After sauna, we went swimming in the Arctic Ocean while the northern lights were above us.
