ABOUT ME

Guess it´s always hard to describe oneself, especially when you´re german.
I guess both of us are a bit intovert, even though an old man in a diner in Brooklyn told me (Lene) i had a "party face".
Generally i am really curious about things.
I have always been thirsty for stories and experiences. I was a dancer in my last life, but now i am way more committed to film, art and philosophy.
I think i am a bit boring, i read a lot of stuff and write half of my time. In between i do yoga and meditate. I am also a Theta-healing practicioner, for all of the spiritual-interessted out there ;)

We are together on the road to finally explore the Westcoast!

Philipp ate the internet and is a lot into playing guitar.
He buys a shitload of guitars and cameras on his way.

I love to host people, and i move a lot in the last years. I also love to connect people, if you are looking for something, i look for people and solutions as good as I can!
As well, I also am very happy and thankful to strangers who have the kindness to trust us. I try to be as respectful as i can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had some couchsurfing experiences through CS but most through acquaintances or friends. The most remarkable experience was having 10 israeli people in my flat 2 years ago - noisy and fun time!
I love to meet people from all areas around the globe.

Music, Movies, and Books

As a kid I wlways thought movies would distract me from life. Thats why i avoided movies for many years, and now i am inclined to do my own ones.

SO until now i actually have watched some, but still so many good ones left to see!
I love those of Werner Herzogs, I adore classical japanese movies of Kenji Mizoguchi and Hiroshi Theshigahara, the atmosphere of Buffalo 66 is one I really adore (and definitely Vincent Gallo in it), as well as I love the humour of Takashi Miike.

Books: Imre Kertesz, Magritte Duras, Rilke, Max Frisch and the german romantics. Currently i have to admit I read a lot of theory, feminist stuff etc

Teach, Learn, Share

We love to learn all kinds of things, from constructing clay houses which we have done already, to building guitars and what not.

Philipp can share how to play the guitar and he ate the internet, so he knows all kinds of things.
Lene shares theta healing sessions, she can also edit movies or share yoga moves!
We also prepare food - healthy (Lene) and unhealthy (Philipp) :)
