ABOUT ME
Hello there!
I'm Lennert, a 34 year old entrepreneur from The Hague. just finished law school and started on expanding my own business from the nice job-on-the-side that it was during my college years to a full time enterprise! I joined CS on recommendation of a friend and I'm very exited for my first experiences via this project!
PHILOSOPHY
As a (self proclaimed) classical liberal/libertarian i value freedom the most. The freedom to express yourself, to fulfill your own destiny and to go to all the places you wish to go are the most important rights you can have!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm not you're average backpacker. To be more honest, i will choose a hotel over a hostel any day! So i guess i'm here primarily for the social connection with the locals of the places i intend to visit. During my travels so far, my time spent with locals i met was always much more special than discovering a city on your own. I intent to CS a few cities within Western Europe the next couple of months. I'm looking forward, and feel very privileged, to be invited into the homes of other people. I would also very much like you to show you my city and offer you a place to sleep. Read the couch info on the left for more on that.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None as of yet, will keep you guys posted of all my CS adventures here in the future!
Interests
I have a wide variety of interests. Whether it is about politics, art, literature, movies, music, travelling, sports or any other subject, i would love to hear about it. I like to hear from people what makes them tick, what moves them. I will probably have an opinion about it either, especially about politics. I also can express those opinions quite strongly, but i always respect the different point of view from others. I invite you to challenge my opinions if you think otherwise.
Things i like to do myself:
Cooking, Sailing, watching movies, going out to bars and clubs, reading and of course: travelling!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Recently i went on the Transsyberian express, a wonderfull experience! Seeing the Russian landscape of many, many, many trees slowly progressing into the mongolian desert and the people changing more and more from the typical Russians to Asians. I highly recommend doing this trip at least once!
Teach, Learn, Share
The past couple of years i picked up some skills that i think can be benificial to others: I know things about technical stuff (IT), i can give advise in legal matters (depending on the country), know how to set up a business and write a businessplan and can share my knowlegde of books, movies and music!
One thing i want to skill myself in is speaking and understanding languages better, i might pick up Russian in the near future.
