About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To welcome travellers to our home and to share in their stories and journeys.
ABOUT ME
My husband and I meet 26 years ago and last year celebrated 20 years of marriage. We are parents to three wonderful children, a teenage daughter, and twin 11 year old boys. As I am a teacher, I enjoy extended breaks in the year and enjoy spending time with my family, and friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are open to hosting for short one or two night stays at this time. We can accommodate 1-3 people. We are a non-smoking household. As we are a twenty minute drive from the sky train, we often park and ride into Vancouver for events downtown. The sky train ride is about 15 minutes to downtown Vancouver. We could make suggestions as to how to navigate the transit system. We are also a short 20 minute drive from the Tsawwassen Ferry terminal for those wishing to continue their journey across the pond.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We are novice couch surfers and have yet to couch surf ourselves. We are open to hosting a variety of couch surfers and their families.
Interests
Through out the year, I enjoy reading, and crafting. I am on a journey to become more fit and have taken up resistance training and walking. As a family, we enjoy trips to the beach, and local walking trails. I would like to, and have tried, to learn how to play the guitar.

Music, Movies, and Books
We read a lot in our household, and enjoy watching movies across a wide spectrum of genres. Musically, we also listen to a wide variety of musical genres. We enjoy the many live concerts, and festivals, throughout the lower mainland.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have travelled to a few memorable loations in my life, including Fiji (3 times), Beijing, California, Florida, Mexico, and throughout Canada (Montreal, Baffin Island, Saskatchewan, Alberta).
The most memorable things I have seen or done on these trips have been my teaching in an International Primary School in Fiji, walking the Great Wall in China, and climbing an iceberg!
