I am almost done with schooling and am getting ready to explore the world a little bit. I am a pretty enthusiastic and optimistic guy who really loves to meet people and try new things.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking to meet new people and get exposed to new ideas and cultures - and hosting people from around the world seems like a pretty good way to do both. Also, I am hoping to travel a lor in the future, and think that the best way to really "see" a city is to stay with a local.

Interests

I love to hike and to run - especially in new places. I am an avid reader - usually fiction. My favorite authors are CS Lewis and Mark Twain. I am also pretty involved in politics, and love baseball and football - would love to take people to an Oakland A's game or Oakland Raiders game. I also love to cook - although I am a bit of novice, I am willing to learn.

Music, Movies, and Books

Already mentioned authors - but favorite books are The Screwtape Letters, The Odyssey, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Innocents Abroad, The Brothers Karamazov, and Enders Game. As for movies - The Shawshank Redemption, Le scaphandre et le papillon, and The Lord of the Rings.I have a really eclectic music interest - and am pretty open-minded with it. I have always liked the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Dispatch.
