Overview
About Me
I am a British-Italian student of Cultural Anthropology and Urban Studies in Leiden (The Netherlands).
Long story short, I was born in London but left as a kid. I moved to Qatar (Middle East) and then to Malaysia (SE Asia) for the last few years. I am now settled in The Netherlands for around 3 more years.
What does that mean? I don’t really know myself but it’s led me to love travelling, meeting people, and learning about things I didn’t even know existed.
Where are those places? Honestly, I didn’t know until my plane landed.
What do I want to do when I travel?
I love learning about how others live their day to day lives. I love to experience the whole area rather than solely visiting the main attractions.
I love the nature and the architecture, the food, the peace of just strolling around mindlessly without any distractions and being forced to confront your thoughts.
My hobbies?
I play a couple instruments and make some of my own music with friends, try learn some languages (please, please don’t test me) and do martial arts (please test me).
At any opportunity when I am not napping in lectures or at work, I find a way to travel to a nearby country, Couchsurf, and find fun things to do!
I hope to meet people who love life as much as me, enjoying all the little things, and making the world a better place by just interacting with each other. So far, Couchsurfing has been a crazy good experience for me in the dozen places I’ve stayed and would recommend it to anyone.
Why put up with me?
I love sharing stories and experiences. I ask too many questions and won’t stop if it’s something I don’t understand or haven’t heard of before.
I would carry my weight in washing up and cleanliness of where I am staying. I understand the importance of boundaries and what a host looks for.
What don’t I like?
Cats. I’m allergic. Please, no cats.
I’m looking forward to whoever decides to host or stay with me and what adventures we’ll get up to! 🏔️🥾
