My name is Leo, I'm Canadian and French but born in Denmark. I just finished my master's in physics back in Montreal, so now I'm taking some time away to travel, meet new people, make friends, and eventually walk to France!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of art in general -- I love to write and read, listen to and play music (with my lefty guitar), and make or watch movies.

I can't possibly choose a favourite in any category, but here are a few that immediately come to mind:

Books: Cat's Cradle, Book of Disquiet, Terre des Hommes, Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Meditations, etc... Really anything.

Movies: Inglourious Basterds, Boyhood, Les Intouchables, Aftersun (my letterboxd is @leopbg). So so many more.

Music: Talking Heads, Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, the Beatles, Erik Satie, etc... to name but a very few.

More than anything, I like to discover new artists, books, and films and discuss them with interested people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sun set and rise in the middle of some dunes by Lake Ontario or in northern Denmark. Waking up to the sounds of waves on a remote island in British Columbia.

Going to a physics training program away in the french alps for two weeks. Trying to explain nature through math and getting the joy of discovery.

Finally, all the adventures I'm going on now!

I also almost finished a game of monopoly :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn new languages and can teach you a bit of french or Danish in exchange!

Otherwise I’m always up to try new musical instruments and share recipes, art, etc. I’m very easily interested!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My story, those of the people I've met, a bottle of wine, conversations about philosophy and the future. I'm a very open-minded guy, and I love to listen! I also like to think up small puzzles, enigmas, problems, etc and try to solve them.

I always love playing music and learning new instruments, and cooking recipes from back home or learning some new ones. Food and jamming make me very happy :)

I'm always up for a long walk and talk, and I love photography (my instagram is @leogoutte if you'd like to see). I'd be more than happy to take some pictures with you!

And just about the only thing I'm probably qualified to share: physics and the wonder of the natural world! I absolutely love talking about the beauty of physics, philosophy, and math.

At the end of the day, I'm just extremely curious about anything and everything!
