Overview
About Me
Hey Couchers,
My name is Leonardo (but you can call me Leo). I’m originally from São Paulo, Brazil, and currently living in Montreal.
I study Physiology and Political Science, and I also work as a health policy researcher. This summer, I’m running a research project with governments across Latin America.
I love meeting new people and discovering new places. In my free time, you’ll usually find me hanging out with friends or exploring the city.
Back in São Paulo, I did a lot of volunteer work with children and young people — something I’m really passionate about. I’m also a big fan of the nonprofit world. In fact, I founded an NGO called I’m Brazilian, which helps low-income high school students from one of the poorest communities in the world apply to top universities abroad. Our mission is simple: break barriers to dream.
Besides that, I’m an animal lover (especially dogs 🐶), a vegetarian, and someone who’s always curious to learn about the world. And who knows… maybe I can cook some Brazilian food for you! 🇧🇷🍲
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that traveling is not just a way to meet new places, but also to share experiences with people. I'm on Couchsurfing to make new friends around the world.
