As a kid, people would see me sitting by a sidewalk watching the traffic on the streets - always with my mouth wide open. I defended myself saying, well that's because all of the amazement just doesn't fit in a closed mouth.
Up to this day I catch myself with this pose here and there. And I have to say, if I have one life goal it would be to keep just that: it would be to stay curious. I guess that is the reason I love meeting new people and cultures. Some of the brightest and most colorful moments I have spent abroad.

Hotels want to make you feel like you're at home. That is not the reason why I am traveling. When I travel, I want to be anywhere but at home. I'd like to open my eyes to new things, to local people that are not just the everyday tourists around the corner.
