ABOUT ME

I'm just a guy that got bored with modern life, so I quit my job, started travelling and don't want to stop! I've not been far - hitched through part of Poland and Czech Republic so I've still got lots of other places to see! I lived in a tent by the beach for a few months before moving to France. Now I'm teaching English in Saint-Quentin until the summer sun shines. Then the plan is Italy or Croatia (though plans often change!)

PHILOSOPHY

Our life on this planet is most likely to be one gigantic, wonderful mistake. To not see the beauty this planet has to offer is an even bigger mistake!

I've not really used couchsurfing yet... While in Saint-Quentin, it'd be good to get to know people and if I see you on the side of the road with your thumb in the air, I'll make sure I pull over to pick you up ;)

Interests

I love doing things. It doesn't matter what these things are, just as long as something is being done! I'm up for trying anything once and some things twice. I've got a surf board and a guitar but wouldn't say I'm great with either. I've jumped out a plane and walked on fire but the most daring thing I've done and keep on doing is getting lost. Whether it be in a wood, a city, a country or my own mind, getting lost is the best thing to do!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not much of a reader, though Jack Kerouac's On The Road is inspirational. And I always preferred The Beano to Dandy.

As for music, I have about 600 CD's/records back at the motherland - a bit hard to pick out a select few.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I managed to do a back flip once. Only once though - the second time I nearly broke my wrist. I was pretty amazed at the time.
