I am a 23-year old student born and raised in Berlin. Currently, I study Middle Eastern Studies at the University of St Andrews. Due to the subject of my studies, travelling is an important part of my life. I am always very interested in meeting new people, discovering exciting places and beautiful cities.

To me, couchsurfing is a fantastic way of travelling. You don't have to stay in boring hostels or hotels and you have the great opportunity of getting an insight view into the culture of the country you visit and into the lives of the people living there. A unique experience that you would miss otherwise.

In Morocco, I spent six weeks living with a Moroccan family in Fes. It was great time: my arabic skills were still poor and they only spoke arabic but they supported me where ever they could and showed me their stunning home city.
