ABOUT ME

With time I learned that it means much more to me to be in one place for a while and beeing able to see behind the usual tourist image, thus really starting to get to know a place instead of visiting as many cool places in as little time possible.
I enjoy a good talk about things that really matter to me or the other person.

Life for me is about change and new things to happen, about joy and positivity. I love that moment of hesitation we feel before trying something scary or new. The moment when we really think about giving up - and then we jump, or speak, or go, or stay - and live!

PHILOSOPHY

As long as I'm moving, learning and using the little time I've got, I feel alive!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm looking foreward to meet some interesting people through CS who like to travel as much as I do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Without expecting it, I made some good friends on couchsurfing. All the people I met were very openminded and interested in getting to know more about the other person, different cultures and behaviors. Many people offer things, just because they like to share what they know and like to be with other interested people, e.g. giving free capoeira lessons, showing around their city, or just sharing a coffee, a beer and some conversation.

Interests

As I always like to get to know something new, I'm interested in a lot of things.
I love traveling, hitchhiking, regular hiking, climbing, camping, capoeira, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, nature, the ocean, surfing, sports, juggling, music.
Right now I'm trying to improve my Spanish and Frensh skills and remember all the songs on guitar I can't remember anymore.
I still want wo learn Italian, sailing, diving, skiing, skydiving and to get some piano skills.
When I spent one year in Brazil I definately found out how much I'm interested in different cultures and how different they see the world through their eyes. I wanna try to take off my european "glasses" and to see the world trough the eyes of other cultures, too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing one of the highest mountains in Rio de Janeiro, almost giving up because of a freakingly high and scary rock, and beeing rewarded with one of the greatest views ever, having vultures cicling around our heads, the ocean on one side, the jungle on the other side, the beatiful city of Rio in the middle and the sun burning down from the sky.
