Hi! My name is Leonid, or simply Leo. I'm working as a data analyst and studying cartography and geography in Moscow State University.

I'm REALLY into music and rock climbing. I'm pretty good in English (at least, comparing to poor average English level in Russia :) ). Besides I love photography, science, people, sports, languages, other cultures, mountains and a lot more. I consider myself a pretty talkable, easy-going and interesting person. I seldom smoke and love to have a drink. Maybe I forgot something important about myself, so feel free to ask!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling is great, especially when one doesn't spend a lot of money on it :) So Couchsurfing is a chance for me to get rid of one of the most expensive parts of every travel - lodging for the night.

Second reason is that I really love to meet new interesting people, and I sincerely believe that every person is unique and interesting.

Unfortanutaly, I don't have opportunity to host people here in Moscow but I hope that before long I'd be able to do it.

Interests

Two of my passions in life are climbing and music.

I prefer rock music, especially classic rock. Since the childhood I play on cello and piano and in 2010 I started playing guitar and singing and I think I had a good progress! Also I challenge myself in composing.

I started climbing in 2012 and was hooked right away. I love almost every aspect in climbing. In gym I prefer to climb bouldering and outdoors I really love sport climbing. My top perfomances are 7C Font. (V9) bouldering and 8a (5.13b) sport route.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to pick only one!
I guess going to Switzerland for a month with no place to stay, low budget and having no friends or relatives there is the thing that most couchsurfers may appreciate. After two days there I had a bike, had a job, had a roof above my head and plenty of buddies :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some russian (russian obscenities are so popular around the globe! :) ), tell you about our culture and about my travels throughout Russia and Central Asia. Also I can share with you my passion to climbing, make you a new climbaholic and show you some new chords and riffs on guitar.

It's always pleasure to me to learn their native language from hosts. Besides, having good laugh on bad pronunciation always brings people together.
