Overview
About Me
Hello hello!
My name is Leonie and I study sustainability sciences in a small beautiful city close to Hamburg. At the moment I’m particpating in the foundation of a culture/music/art centre in an old industrial building which is very exciting! And I am involved in a little startup that plans to grow culinary mushrooms in the city. I am always happy to meet new people, learn more about cultures and do my best at being a kind person with an open mind :)
I mostly like to stay sober (a glass of wine or beer can be super nice, but no heavy drinking) and don't take drugs, besides sugar and caffeine which I love!
It's okay to have different opinions (and embrace the discussion!), but I would not feel safe with discrimmination, intense nationalism, intolreance toward LGBTQ+* , ... I think you get the picture! Feel free to ask me anything!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am here to meet nice people and to share! :)
I view couchsurfing as a possibility for exchange! I would like to share conversations, get some insides on the place I visit and get to know you! Of course this doesn’t have to be a full time operation and I don’t expect full time attention. I will adapt to your scedule. On the other hand I am glad to share with you who I am, maybe bake or cook something for/with you if you like and maybe host you one day too?
‼️‼️‼️
Couchsurfing is not a platform to flirt or to get intimate in my opinion and I would expect from you to respect this.
I also take the pandemic seriosuly and I am carefull when moving around. I'm also vaccinated twice.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music means a lot to me! I am playing the harp and the piano and I love to play with others and do little experiments with sound effects etc. The shower is my favorite place to sing, but I also enjoy singing with other people or to play the ukulele (as a true rookie)!
I also like to watch movies and read, but I don’t have a very distinctive preference regarding genres etc. I like to mix it up depending on my mood.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are many and I am so grateful! But for example:
- Wwoofing in Norway, working on different farms (my favorite one was a flowerfarm close to Oslo) and be outside a lot!
- Creating desserts in a vegan restaurant and B&B in Antwerp (Simone's Kitchen- if you are in Antwerp, check them out!!)
- Working in a yoga retreat & surf hostel in Ericeira, Portugal in the summer (Moka)
- Hiking and free camping in Sweden at Sörmlandsleden
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you some German or Dutch words, we could have a jam session, we could explore places together, have long or short conversations, …
I really love baking! In Lockdown I learned how to make very nice sourdough bread, ciabatta, croissants, … When I worked in a vegan restaurant, I also learned how to bake vegan and gluten free if you are interested in these kind of things. I would love to teach but also just to bake something nice as a thank you.
At the moment I am learning portuguese and would be very happy to practise!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Baking/ cooking together, Yoga practise, playing the piano if you should have one, warm smiles (!!!), exploring a place together, …
