Overview
About Me
My name is León, I'm a self-taught artist and writer who enjoys worldbuilding, learning and creating.
I was born in 2003 and as a kid, I always loved to create stories, characters and whole worlds. I used to draw a lot of comics and imagine stories during my childhood. In 2017, I began working in my own book saga, which I'm still writing as of today. I have many exciting projects all related to storytelling and fiction. I post comic strips online, and I'm also highly passionate about music, movies, videogames and science. I enjoy learning about history, linguistics, computer science, math and pretty much anything of interest; I consider myself very open-minded, and I love to learn about anything that sparks an interest. Learning helps me greatly with writing stories and creating believable worlds.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of meeting new people across the world and sharing culture through experiences, conversation, language, food and traditions. I also love connection and I believe the most meaningful experiences are those that we create alongside people. Traveling becomes much more fun and interesting when you can share small talk and everyday traditions with locals and form new relationships, it's not just visiting landmarks or checking experiences off a list.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to music, I enjoy a very wide variety of genres and songs. I could be listening to a 1970s classic hit and the next song in the playlist will be a track from a videogame's OST from the 2000s. I particularly love the sound of violins, electric guitars and EDM synths. I don't really have favourite artists, but among my playlist you'll find several songs from MDK, The Living Tombstone, Maroon 5, TheFatRat or Coldplay.
About movies, I tend to enjoy action, mystery and thriller movies. Some of my all-time favourites which heavily shaped the type of stories I like to create are Indiana Jones, Star Wars, The Hunger Games and Avatar (The first one).
Even though I'm a writer, I haven't read several books yet. I read some novels from local authors when I was a kid. I remember I liked the vibe of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. I read The Little Prince when I was a kid, but to be fair I don't remember much of it. I'm currently willing to read more books in English; I've got my eyes on The Count of Monte Cristo, and the movie adaptations of Wicked made me interested in the whole Wizard of Oz literary universe as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've written the first part of what will be a four-book saga. To me, that's one of the most amazing things I've done, because it has let me feel and believe that what's inside my head can be so much more than just thoughts.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning and sharing knowledge. I love talking about philosophical, artistic or science topics, but I really just enjoy talking about pretty much anything when it's done passionately and with genuine interest. I am particularly excited to talk about culture, language and traditions.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my interest and insight on any of my topics of interest. I love to tell stories about things that I've done or seen, as well as talk about culture in general. I'm also open to getting to know others and listen to what they have to share.
