Multicultural background. Londoner but also grew up in English and French countryside (Vendée region in the Loire Valley), formerly lived in Paris // Lyon // Beijing.

Very sociable day dreamer. Laugh when I'm nervous. Great sense of humour and fun but also enjoy having debates about literature, film, music. Love hearing other people's life experiences and stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sense of humour, understanding, curiosity, fun!!

Have heard great things from friends and family about couch surfing and as an experienced traveller I find the best memories are made by meetings with strangers!! So all meetings extremely welcome.

Interests

Music - I grew up with a musical family. My uncle is professional countertenor and my father is very musical too. I grew up playing the oboe, piano, and my favourite is singing. I particularly love singing jazz, music from the English choral tradition, German lieder. I play and sing less now but still love listening to everything from classical to electronic .

Travel and cultures - I travel to at least one new place each year. This year was Istanbul!! Also going to Evia, Greece and Edinburgh for the Fringe later this summer

Art - from a historical and aesthetic point of view; anything that makes life more beautiful, even if it's sometimes harsh. There is beauty in truth.

Fishing in lake Kariba, Zimbabwe, surrounded by elephants, hippos, crocodiles.
Discovering an imaginary village called Flateurville created by a dentist in Paris. A sort of parallel universe made possible by art and fiction.
