ABOUT ME

I'm a 27 years old musician living in Berlin. Born in the land of the 13 months of sunshine, Ethiopia! I'm talkative & curious, but I also like taking walks around my neighborhood or stay quiet in the company of others. Studied philosophy for a couple of semesters and I'm always eager to talk about it!

PHILOSOPHY

I like this one: "good judgement comes from experience, and experience - well, that comes from poor judgement."
Then I believe in something I call the Higher Body theory... the world is a higher body and we are its cells, thus we're all connected and the concepts of egoism and altruism fade away - at least in the model;-). Looking forward to hear about your philosophy!

Music, Movies, and Books

The musicians that had the biggest impact on me were Kurt Cobain, J.J. Cale & Moby, more recently. A few more names that pop up: Parov Stelar, Arcade Fire, John Lennon (working class hero). Many more:-)!

Books... Hesse's Steppenwolf. Paul Auster, one of my favorite authors. Philosophical books, I've been reading Sartre's Being and Nothingness for years and still haven't finished it. But I finished Anthony Kiedis' autobiography!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I overcame a depression, that's a damn great experience. Felt like a newborn afterwards. Other things don't come to my mind right now. Well, it was special to record my first album in 2008!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could play a song for you - or show you how I write them! Or i could teach you some German, but i must warn you: it's quite complicated;-)! Have you heard of the concept of "Zeitgeist"? It's a great idea by a philosopher called Hegel... I could explain it to you, at least to a certain extent.
