ABOUT ME

I'm Leon, born and raised in the beautiful city of Berlin, Germany.
These days I work as a doctor near Zurich, Switzerland.

I would describe myself as an extroverted, honest, reliable, goofy and also serious person. Im up for new things in life whether its traveling the world and meeting new people and cultures or just being down to earth enjoying the moment with a cold beer.

I love to be around others and just have a enjoyable time no matter if the people are known friends or newly met. I'm always up for good, inspiring and fun conversations.

I have traveled quite a bit in the past years which i really love. So yes, getting around and seeing new places is certainly a big part of me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My aim is to meet new, interesting and fun people here at CS and make new friends with people from all over the world.
I think this page offers a a great oppertunity to explore the world in a deeper, more profound and of course, more fun way due to the fact of having the chance to meet local people. This I think makes the whole experience of traveling much more interesting, fun and adventurous as it would be for a "normal" tourist & traveler....

My contribution: being excited to meet you guys, be fun and open-minded and also, to be interested to share experiences of life. Cheers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far my experiences were just great. I had an awesome time traveling in Mexico in 2011 and meeting amazing people via CS. I think these experience made the trip very special.
When I was Thailand 2013 i also met really nice people with CS. Too bad i got sick with dengue fever shortly before my return. Thanks to CS i met a great guy who took care of me while i was in the hospital. So even a bad experience can turn into something unexpectedly great.

兴趣

My main interest for sure is travelling, seeing new places and meeting new people and getting to know different cultures. Also, I'm quite much into photography so whenever I'm on a trip my camera is with me. If you are interest to see some of my work, check it out: http://www.fototreff24.de/u/2425

Besides that I also love climbing and hiking in the mountains. I am very much into different all kinds of sports whether it's fitness, soccer or Jogging or skydiving. Since i am a pretty good eater as well i enjoy cooking meals for myself and/or others (italian, german and all sorts of food) together with a nice glass of wine or beer. Hanging out with friends and enjoying the moment is also priceless; inspiring and fun conversations are always something I enjoy. Reading a good is also something i like to do.

I think it depends on the mood I am in when it comes to music. I like a variety of genres. Whether it is classical music (Vivaldi, Bach, Schumann, Wagner) or going nuts to some electronic music. Some of my favorite artists are: RHCP, Bob Dylan, U2, The Kooks, Jack Johnson, The Strokes, Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen, Manu Chao, Mando Diao, Paco de Lucia, The Killers, Coldplay, Buena Vista Social Club, Mumford & Sons, Band of Horses, Great Lake Swimmers, The Kooks and so many more...

I love to read and get a new perspective on life and the world around me but also like books just for the sake of relaxing and diving into a different world. My favorite books i can now think of are the Catcher in the Rye, Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo, The Pillars of the Earth, The Godfather, The Shadow of the Wind, The Kite Runner, Mandela's autobiography and The Power of Now by E. Tolle. Probably there are many more but cant remember them all...
