Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I dearly invite other CSer and Non-CSer to grab a coffee, take a walk or go out for the night with me as well as sharing stories, attitudes and overall having a good time.
When I'm travelling I really enjoy getting to know people who are already living there who can give me first hand suggestions what to do there. In my opinion every place is more than the description of any tourist guide. I'm excited to see it through different "eyes".
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met some really awesome people so far and looking forward to meeting some more.
Interests
I love doing sports. It doesn't really matter which kind of sport, I will just try it out. As I get the chance to spend a part of my life in a different country I will certainly do it.
On the one hand I like to relax on the other hand I'm very active person.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I would like to share a great story of one unexpected couchsurfing experience. Several years ago I was doing interrail with a friend of mine through eastern Europe. We wanted to go hiking in the Carpations. When we arrived on the foot of the mountain it was already getting dark. Nevertheless we decided to climb upwards to reach the first cabin before sunset. It was unexpectedly closed and camping was not allowed due to bears. With no place to sleep the night, we walked further uphill until we arrived at an old meteorological station. The place was illumenated so we knocked on the door. We found out that a man with his son was living there and every hour he had to observe the data of a sensor located outside. He didn't speak Englsh but he welcomed us into his home. We spent a great night there talking featured sign language and cooking together. I still appreciate their hospitality and generosity.
