About Me

Optimistic and funny, creative and open minded

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new people, especially from other countries. I believe, it is always fun to get to know new things and figure out how the cultures are different. So far, I've experienced being an exchange student and I lived with a host family. And I can definitely say that living with locals is the best way to learn truth about life in a particular country, to dispel stereotypes and to be taught such unique things that only a native citizen can tell you. Surely, Couchserfing serves this mission by bringing various cultures together, that is why I am here!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is anything that matches my mood and finds a place in my heart)
As for movies, I don't have a particular movie that I could call my favorite one, but I can surely say that I like comedies, because I love to laugh :) Laughing is the universal language that makes people feel closer to each other.
One of the coolest books I've ever read was "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen. Yes, since I am a girl I have to mention a romantic novel on the list of my favorite books) But besides that I am very passionate for detective stories. Anything that describes investigations of any kind can catch my attention. That is why Sir Arthur Conan Doyle with his Sherlock Holmes is also one of my favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've volunteered for the Operation Christmas Child by helping to pack presents for kids in Africa. When you do these kinds of things, you get a feeling of being part of a huge process and even more when you contribute to the process you become so passionate for what you are doing. An amazing experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would really love to learn something new. Maybe something astonishing about the rest of the world. Or even experience it myself!
In turn, I can share my knowledge and my experience :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could give this feeling of a real Russian spirit by discussing traditions, lifestyle, anything you want about my native country. Food is also a good way to share cultural differences. so I could prepare a Russian meal for you :)
