Overview
About Me
This is my first experience couch surfing. In 2015 I took an 18,000 mile drive visiting friends and family from west to east across the country and Canada. I travel in a smallish motor home, a 22-foot Airstream Interstate that is fully self-contained.,
I am looking forward to hosting in between my travelling and I am looking forward to visiting with you and seeing your towns.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am taking a break from my job; I work as a Horticulturist, Consultant and I run the Desert Gardening School in Las Vegas. I will be travelling alone and on the road for a long time and need to watch my expenses. So, a level place where I can park my beautiful little RV for a day or 2 would be nice. Then I can sight see, stretch my legs and visit with you.
When I return to Las Vegas I will have a nice place for Couch Surfers to stay.
Interests
I like visiting with people and I am a tourist at heart. I like to play party bridge but, I don't know many of the conventions. I like good food, window shopping, good movies, good music, good jokes and happy people. I frequent the YMCA's when I travel because I like to exercise in the pool and I enjoy the classes.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to mention
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have a demonstration garden that is open to the public and have written 3 published books on desert gardening, 2 are still in print. I work as a gardening consultant to desert gardeners. And I also work for Organic Living Magazine, a Rodale publication, which was published for decades under the name of Organic Gardening Magazine.
Teach, Learn, Share
I hope to spend some time in parts of the U.S. and Canada that I have only driven through. On this trip I want to see the things I didn't see from the highways. Visit with people who live there.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my experience in sustainable living; growing food of all kinds; and knowledge gained through years of living - And a few funny stories.
Countries I’ve Visited
