to complete my travell of central america and mexico.

ABOUT ME

i am 70 years young,am currenly on a 6 month central america trip that has included Cuba,mexico and columbia as extras.have travelled overland to australia,done the thai,vietnam,cambodia,laos,india trip,travelled pretty much every country in europe,done the north africa trip so,i think we can safely say i love travelling most of all.i do have other interests like old clocks,music,play a little guitar,walking,but ime afraid my disco days are long gone tho,i did go to coco bongos in cancun one night.

PHILOSOPHY

i try to keep an open mind on different religions,philosophys,as everyone has there own ideas and the 2 mingle into each other.i have been into the hindu culture as i have spent a lot of time in my favourite country india,but now,i think they all have there place in the common scheme of things.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

at the moment i cant host as i am travelling till 16th may but,will get more involved when i get back.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i did couch surfing for the first and only time in cancun with a realy lovely mexican couple and can honestly say it was a wonderfull experience.they where so nice and realy lovely people.we had a lovely meal on the roof terrace and jorje played lovely flamenco guitar and had a good voice while his wife stella was the perfect host.we sat up till 2.30am and a wonderfull evening had by all.lovely people and an experience i will never forget.

travelling is my main interest but,i do love old wind up clocks,music,walking,guitar,and interesting conversation.

shawshank redemtion,and its a wonderfull life are still my favourite films,music is so varied but,60s70s rock still tops my list,tho i do love country music also and some rap.i read a lot of science fiction and fantasy but,
sorry to say dont read to much nowadays apart from travell books.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

i think one of the best things i have done is the trek to everest in 1971.we treked for 35 days and its still my best memory of travelling.Ishfaham in the south of iran is amazing as was the souk in damascas.the bus journey down to Bagdad with a load of Elfatha soldiers on it was an experience to savour as was going into afghanistan from Iran as Harat was like going back in time 300 years.the very best thing tho.was my 5 children and 5 granchildren love them to bits.

i am trying my best to learn spannish and its coming very slowly but,ime sure i will get ther eventualy.i dont feel i have much to teach but,have lots of information on india and cuba.
