About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet all of you beautiful people and indulge the mind and senses in what the world has to offer.

ABOUT ME

"I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together".

PHILOSOPHY

The world seems to be going down this downward spiral in which less and less people seem to be free, or are even aware that they are not. I choose to wake up every day with the feeling and notion that I can simply just be, and in this sense let go of all fear and negativity that keeps us from evolving. Being true to oneself is the ultimate happiness, and I wish to share that with the world. I have the utmost faith that people will wake up and join me in this journey and I feel very grateful to have found a community of people who are doing just that. Much peace and love, my friends!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't been able to host anybody yet because I don't have my own place, but helping people travel is such an important thing for me that I definitely forsee myself actively hosting in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed a few times during a backpacking trip in South America and it was overall an incredible experience. My last host (and her mother) were such sweethearts who went out of their way to make us feel at home and share a moment of their lives with us.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Since I enjoy learning about different cultures and hope to someday travel all over the world, I highly enjoy watching foreign language films as well as indie films and documentaries. I can be a bit of a movie junkie and nothing pleases me more than finding the perfect movie for whatever mood I'm in. Among my favorites: Shaun of the Dead, This is England, Boondocks Saints, Micmacs, Sin Nombre, Y Tu Mama Tambien, The Orphanage, Iron Monkey, Mesrine, La Haine, La vie en Rose, Wasteland, Food Matters and documentaries.

Music: I'm all over the place when it comes to music. I love love LOVE music, I believe it to be the most perfect connection between the human soul and the universe. Plus you can sing, dance, kick, jump, run, think, and make love to it. I enjoy everything from classic rock, reggae, hip hop, alternative, indie, Spanish rock, oldies, blues, jazz, punk, ska, world music....One of my all time favorites has to be Mano Negra/Manu Chao and I was lucky enough to see him perform here in the US. I enjoy anything with raw talent and sincere self expression, and am opened to any kind of out-of-this world, experimental, and fun beats.

Books: I enjoy anything philosophical, sociological, humorous, dramatic, and just plain educational. Catcher in the Rye, Love in the Time of Cholera, A Confederacy of Dunces, and The Four Agreements are a few of my faves.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2012 LA Marathon. It was my first and only marathon (I will do more!). It was an emotional experience that proved hands on how one's commitment/dedication pays off.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Peru
