Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted many people as friend, friends of friends, and really great people I mostly met 2 hours earlier around a glass of wine.

Mum said one day : Hosting people is the most experience you can have. Because it could tell you who they are, from where they are incoming, and where they are going to. (Yes it's a bit like Forrest Gump, but she actually said that =) )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In fact, it happened to me.
I was working at Festival Les Escales, Saint Nazaire, France as Video Editor. An artist from Erythree, Tsehaytu Beraki, was here.
During a break, I take my personnal camera to make some clichés and decide to have a drink.
On the way back, I was walking and Tsehaytu Beraki was coming in the opposite direction. She was walking slowly and wisely, due to her age, but she was peacefull. And then something really strange happened to me. I wanted to take a picture of this beautiful old women, who sang for freedom in Etythree during the strikes, and nothing happened. I was stucked on the ground, my feet could not move, neither my arms. She walked, heading her way next to me at the same speed, without noticing me, and turn at a corner of a building 10 meters farther.

It was weired, intense. Like if all her past, her history follows her at any time like a huge aura...
