My name is Letícia, I'm a Journalism student from São Paulo, in Brazil. In the past few months, I have been linving in the cold and gray UK to research gender politics, specially parents's experiences with the UK shared parental leave legislation.

I'm taking advantage of my time in Europe to travel and to know interesting people and new destinies. In Brazil, I used to work in a women's magazine writing about human rights and to study in the University of São Paulo. In the UK, I'm based in the charming (and near from the sea) Brighton. I love sunny days, wine, documentary films and to buy home decor. It's importante to mention that my sign is aquarius, which says a lot about me.

I'm a very interested in having new experiences and couchsurfing would be a good idea to meet locals and people with different backgrounds. I usually travel alone so couchsurfing is a good opportunity to have people to talk and to hang out.

I left my parent's house when I was 17 and when I was 18 I did my first travel alone (and in my own expenses).

I expect to practice my English and to know a little bit about other languages when I'm traveling and doing couchsurfing.

I really enjoy to cook, besides I'm still improving my skills -- but I can bake a cake! I tend to believe that I am very good with maps and lists, so I have lots of tips (some of them very secret) about a few Brazilian cities. Also I can teach how to organize your luggage.
